| During the 1950's, the wooden posts and brackets on the porch were replaced with metal supports. The only clues left of the original porch were a bracket and some paint marks on the porch roof beam.
Thanks to neighbors and an article in the Ann Arbor News, word went out for our need for a picture of the original porch. William Miller who lived in the house during the 50’s and 60’s graciously supplied us with pictures that permitted us to restore the porch. |

The staircase and window trims were painstakingly restored and traditional 9” baseboard was custom milled to match the original. |

Most of the doors and hardware were salvaged and restored. |

We were able to use most of the existing siding and used matching cedar siding and trim for repairs and new construction. |

The foundation was tuckpointed and rebuilt as necessary. |
