The homeowners of this house on Ann Arbor's old west side wanted to restore the home to a single family dwelling. Converting the efficiency kitchen to a bathroom consistent with the period proved to have many challenges. To match the red pine flooring, Westside Builders was able use the 2 x 4 red pine rafters salvaged from another home built in the 1800's. After clearing out all of the nails, we planed them down and milled them into flooring to match the bathroom. Everyone was happy with the seamless repair of the original floor.
